Backlog historic Vinci.

Le pôle «construction» de Vinci a vu ses revenus baisser de 12,9% 
au premier trimestre.


The pole "construction" of Vinci saw its revenues decline by 12.9% in the first quarter.

The construction group has been a decline of more than 7% of its revenues in the first quarter but reported a backlog of nearly 26 billion euros. The outlook is maintained.
A difficult first quarter but not catastrophic. Vinci announced Tuesday a decrease of 7.3% of its turnover on the first three months of the year to 6.457 billion euros against 6.969 billion euros last year at the same time. The pole "contracting", which includes construction activities, roads and energy and represents about 80% of turnover Vinci, saw its revenues decline by 10.5% to 5.320 billion euros.
The concessions division (motorway networks ASF, Cofiroute ...), which represents 20% of the activity, however see its turnover increase by 5% to 1.080 billion euros.
"This development is the result of exceptional disturbances suffered in January and February by the contracting subsidiaries in Europe and North America, because of extremely harsh weather conditions, 'explains Vinci.

Orders history and work continues:
For the group, this first quarter is not representative of the group's activity because of the strong impact of seasonal factors. In addition, Vinci Announces Backlog up "its historic high of 25.9 billion euros, an increase of 8% compared to December 31, 2009. The book does not yet site of the giant high-speed line Tours-Bordeaux, won by the end of March Vinci.
On this basis, Vinci has maintained its 2010 forecasts a moderate increase of tolls on motorway subsidiaries and lower on a comparable turnover of contracting more limited than the 6.8% decline recorded in 2009 .
Overall, the group still expects a positive development of its total turnover, after falling 4.6% in 2009. To achieve this objetcif, Vinci Surla account contributions from newly acquired companies: Cegelec and Tarmac quarries in Europe, but also more recently Faceo.
