The manufacturer of Falcon jets provides a record of shipments due to the success of the 7X, her youngest child.

A slight tremor, but no recovery free. Charles Edelstenne, CEO of Dassault Aviation  was cautious Monday about the health of the aviation business in which the players are gathered in Geneva for the 10the edition of the show Ebace. "As long as the stock of used aircraft will have only reduced the market for new aircraft not start again," he insists. Certainly, the stock of some 2,700 aircraft, representing 15% of the world fleet, "slowly and steadily decreasing (-1% in March) but its level is still high compared to the average pre-crisis (12 %). "We have many contacts in the U.S. and Europe with companies who need to renew their fleet and had decided to postpone the investment. These discussions should result in orders in three to six months to come, "says John Rosanvallon, CEO of U.S. subsidiary Dassault Falcon Jet. By contrast, the activity is more sustained in the Bric-Brazil, Russia, India and China, where the appetite for "Bizjet" affirmed. "The weight of these countries will double our business to 25% or 35% of the total in the years to come," he adds.

80 aircraft delivered:
These few positive signs suggest that 2010 should be better in terms of orders that 2009, which ended in a record of cancellations (163 units). "We ended the quarter with a net balance of negative control of four airplanes. There are still risks of cancellations or postponements, but we hope that this will be the last negative quarter and the end of 2010, our net orders will be positive, "Charles Edelstenne develops.
In terms of deliveries, however, 2010 should end with a new record, with 80 units against 77 a year earlier. The Falcon 7X, the latest new generation of jet manufacturer, should represent 45% of units shipped this year. That is the paradox of the top of the line, which cost around 50 million dollars (for delivery in 2013), which is resistant depressed markets where prices have stalled. "The 7X, we delivered three copies to China, resists, because it is the aircraft of globalization, particularly through its long-range, wide cabin and its equipment for telecommunications," explains CEO of Dassault Aviation, which book Tuesday in Saudi Private Aviation, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Airlines, 75e 7X built and the first of four commissioned by the company Falcon Gulf.
The resilience of shipments through a fine control between cancellations and expectations of customers, has positive effects in plants. For several weeks, they are no longer subject to the regime of 4-5 days per month of layoffs that lasted six months. In contrast, the production rate had reached 4.5 per month, including 3 7X 9 cons before the crisis.
