Living in New York can be a lot of work.
Despite some best transport in public in the country, New Yorkers spend more time at work every day - at an average of nearly 40 minutes go - that commuters anywhere else in the country. They connect also more hours at work once they get there than workers in most other regions.
And that is not all: the exorbitant housing costs, which are more than double the average national, devour a large part of the budgets of most residents. Combine this with a high cost of living, as well as the rates of poverty and unemployment above average, and this means that more people are struggling to get.

On the positive side, crime has significantly decreased in recent years as a result of the aggressive policies of policing. Now the property of New York crime rate is among the lowest per capita, and the homicide rate is also below average for analysed sites, which helped make residents feel much more safe.

New York also offers a variety of activities free anti-stress, such as the free yoga and pilates in parks courses. "If you think you are planning, you will reduce your stress," said Helana Natt, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce of greater New York.
