Adidas revises upward its sales in 2010.

Less than six weeks of the launch of the FIFA World Cup 2010, Adidas publishes its results better than expected, and revised upward its forecast of sales for the year.

The German firm Adidas is delighted that its turnover for the first quarter of 2010 increased 4% to 2.6 billion euros. The group profits reached 168 million euros, against 5,000,000 in the same period in 2009.
"The year has started very well," said Herbert Hainer, CEO of the group, we achieved strong sales in the first quarter, driven by growth across all product segments. " The sportswear and may revise upward its forecast turnover: for the year 2010, it expects an increase of 5% excluding the currency effect.
