Petrol going up next week, gov't says

South Africans will pay more at the pump next week as the average litre of petrol will increase 43 cents per litre – a 4,8 per cent hike.
According to the South African Department of Energy, the price of 95 grade petrol will rise to R9.42 per litre on March 2 in Gauteng.
Wholesale diesel will also rise, up to R8.78 per litre.
A rise in international fuel prices and a weakening exchange rate between the rand and the U.S. dollar led to the increase, the department wrote.
