1md € pour verdir les autoroutes .

The motorway companies and subsidiaries Vinci Sanef, operating more than half of sections granted to the private sector, have now committed to invest over one billion euros for "greening" them in exchange a one-year extension of their concessions.
This "green package" requires the two groups, which between them manage 5947.5 kilometers (km) of the 8,000 km of the French motorway concession to the private sector, in work, whose goal is to "green up the highways," welcomed the Minister of Ecology Jean-Louis Berloo upon signature of this Convention in Paris.
Specifically, Vinci and Sanef have three years to make their network work preserving water sensitive areas, protecting residents from noise, preserving biodiversity and reducing CO2 emissions. Both groups must also restore the rest areas and intend to generalize the toll.
"We will replace the septic area, cons toilet more efficient", stated Pierre Coppey, Director of VINCI Autoroutes France comprising SLCs (ASF highways of southern France), Cofiroute and ESCOTA (Côte d 'Azur).
While recalling that the "Green Commitment" form part of the recovery plan, Jean-Louis Borloo said the investment would "support employment in construction companies and public works and small streams green ". This agreement ends more than a year of negotiations between the government and the motorway network operators.
